About La Tania & Chalets in La Tania

La Tania is the newest resort in the world famous 'Trois Vallées' ski area and also the most convenient for ski in ski out access. The resort was built in 1991 compactly around a pedestrian friendly centre and nestles amongst a forest of pine.

Catered chalets in La Tania Courchevel

A very natural setting with the runs back home meandering down through the trees. The heart of the resort is car free and has every facility you need whilst managing to maintain a cosy and amicable atmosphere. Ideally placed between the resorts of Courchevel and Meribel you can get to either using only two lifts. For those going further afield, Val Thorens is only five lifts away, or about one and half hours skiing.

The skiing available is sure to please everyone, from complete beginner to the most exacting expert in search of 'gnarly off-piste'. The 3 Valleys is heaven for snowboarders, with very few drag lifts, lots of fast chairs and 5 board parks.

The apres-ski scene

'Après' is mainly centred around the British run 'Ski Lodge' pub with happy hour, great pub grub, satellite TV and live music. There are also several good restaurants close by for lunchtime meals or to try out on your chalet staff's night off.

Alternatively, transport can be arranged to the more lively Courchevel 1850 or Meribel, both about 10 minutes away. For the more energetic we can arrange sledging or a little bumboarding, (bring your body armour) on the nearby luge piste in Courchevel 1550. If you want more of a thrill, how about skidooing through the powder once the pistes are closed up in 1850, or trying the Olympic bobsleigh over in La Plagne (your 3V pass also gives you a days skiing there or in Espace Killy). The other option (by far the easiest) is to work your way through your duty free (or preferably someone else's) back at the chalet.

A snow sure resort

Thanks to the extensive installation of snow cannons all over the skiing domain, 38 just
on the La Tania blue and 557 in Courchevel overall, you are always sure of good snow
coverage. With the new cannons on the blue run back to resort you can guarantee being able to ski back to La Tania right through the season.

More snow cannons and improved designs are planned to increase the area covered by the artificial white stuff. We also benefit from the high altitude of the 3 Valleys (Courchevel goes up to 2700m and Val Thorens to well over 3100m) which also ensures excellent snow cover and even glacier skiing in Val Thorens.
